I get that this may be surprise gift and asking for the partner's measurements may be a give away. I recommend to the You play a game. Blind fold Your partner and having a tailor's measuring tape at hand among other things for sensation and texture. Play the anticipation game where you introduce many things, mix in the gathering of the two measurements. They won't be the wiser.

I need these measurements because all are bodies are different and I custom fit so it may fit perfectly. If I make it generic the neck may not fit being too big or too small and detracts from the pendulum pendant.
